If I bought a car from a used car dealer over four months ago but he still has not given you the proper paper work to get license and registrtion what should you do?

Contact the better business bureau in your area for assistance.
You should also send a written notice to the car dealer asking for the needed paperwork. In the letter you need to give a reasonable date by which they must provide the paperwork. Send the letter by certified mail so you have proof you sent it. If the dealer does not produce the needed paperwork in a reasonable amount of time you can sue them for the money you paid. Plus in most states by not providing a legal title they are breaking the law and could be fined and loose their dealers licence.

Yes but it would be worth less money than before because of the damage. If you are asking can you return it for a refund, the answer is NO if you bought it "As Is". If it has a warranty then the dealer will repair it. Talk to the selling dealer.

IF you bought the car and knew what the warranty was offered and it was leass than 4 months, then why should the dealer be responsible? They can not be responsible for other's lack of actions. If you have a car that you neglect, trade it in to the dealer, how would the dealer know what you did or didn't do? Caveat Emptor-buyer beware. That's the chances you take unfortunatly.

if you have the contract with you saying when you brought the car. you can go down to your local dmv office and ask to speak to a dmv investigators. These are police officers assinged to insure that car sales men act with in the law.
