Yes I think so since you were the driver. The insurance covers the driver and not necessarily the car.

If you are driving someone else's car does your liability insurance pay repairs to the vehicle you are driving?

No, liability insurance is when there are injuries involved. If you are injured in an accident when someone else is driving your car, your liability insurance would cover your medical costs. Comprehensive and collision insurance on the car you were driving should pay for damages to the vehicle.

What happens if a car accident was not your fault but you were driving and you are not on the policy and the car is insured by full coverage insurance?

ANSWERYou should be OK, as long as, you had permission to drive that vehicle. In any case since you were not at fault, the other driver's insurance co. is financially responsible for all damages. However, in some other cases, it is recommendable to review the policy of the car you were driving, in case the other vehicle had a liability coverage only.

What is nonowner auto liability insurance?

This is a type of auto liability coverage that can be purchased when the buyer does not own an automobile. While auto liability insurance is typically said to "follow the car", meaning that it correlates with a particular vehicle, non-owner's coverage "follows the driver". In that sense, it covers the driver irrespective of the vehicle he/she is driving.

Does insurance cover car damages while driving out of state?

Yes. Your insurance adjusts to the higher or your liability limits or the minimum limits for the state that you drive into. Be aware that all U.S. insurance will cover you in Canada as well but not in Mexico. When you cross the border into Mexico your insurance does not. If you move to another state you are required to notify your insurance company and if you don't it could be a cause for denying your coverage.

Yes you can. You may still receive a citation for not having insurance, however, the legal liability for the accident does not rest with you so the adverse party's insurance carrier will owe for your damages and/or injuries.
