Yes, if you have a face down say rageki break, you can use it.
Chain link 1 trapmasters effect activates targeting rageki break
Chain link 2 rageki break effect activates targeting trapmaster
Resolve:
Link 2 Rageki Break destroys trapmaster
Link 1 Trapmaster destroys rageki break
Both cards would be destroyed by eachother.

Trap Master only destroys the Trap when his effect resolves. You can chain that trap to his activation, and it will resolve before it gets destroyed. The only time a Counter Trap could activate in that case, is if it is going to negate Trap Master's effect. So that would be almost always Divine Wrath or GB War Chariot.
