Yes. The parents of a minor can file a missing person or absentee minor report with the local police department. When the minor is located he or she will be taken into custody and either placed in a juvenile center to await a court hearing or returned to parental custody and the minor and the minor's parents will be required to appear in front of a juvenile court judge to answer some serious questions. Running away is not the solution, and it causes a multitude of problems for everyone involved, especially if there is no clear indication that the minor left of his or her own free will. Minors crossing state lines without parental consent are also committing a violaltion of federal law. FYI, the legal age of majority is 18 or higher not 17.

What relation to you is your half brother's half sister?

Your half-brother's half-sister could be your full sister, or not related to you at all. For example, say your parents are Joe and Mary and your half-brother's parents are Mary and Steven. Say your half-brother's half-sister is Barbara. If Joe and Mary are Barbara's parents, then she is your full sister and your half-brother's half-sister. If Barbara's parents are Steven and Jane, then Barbara is not related to you (unless there is an adoption).

Why don't my parents do anything when my little sister and her friends annoy me?

Parents never tell my little sister/brother and her mates off when they are annoying me because parents either feel embarrased to shout at your little sister/brother in front of her friend or that they feel guilty telling off your little sister/brother's friend, what you have to do is tell your parents what your little sister and her friend did and hopefully they will tell your little sister/brother off for doing so, that's what happens when my little sister annoys me

What can you do if a step sister hates you and your little sister?

Your step sister may not hate you, but be jealous of you and your sister. Be sure that your parents treat her equally to you and your sister and you can do this by simply watching your parents actions or how they speak to your step-sister and to you and your sister. If you think she is being treated unfairly then you should communicate your concerns to your parents. One sibling should never be treated better than the other because it can hurt the sibling that is being forgotten or rejected.

Can you be called in as a runaway for moving out at 17 years of age by your parent and be punished by the police even if your parents knew you were moving out?

Everything depends on the laws of the state. In the state of Maine, a friend of mine had a sister who ran away at 16 and her mother called the cops in hopes of her return, but the cops told her that she was older than 16 and they were unable to force her to return. I'm not sure of the other states but not all states require the age of 18.
