If a 190E Mercedes was not used for six months and you made the mistake of leaving the emergency brake on and now it is stuck how do you get it to release?

You could try "rocking" the car by going from drive to reverse a couple of times to see if the shoes will come unstuck from the drums. If you have disc brakes, the rotors are rusty, and should clean themselves after a few brake applications. If the calipers are frozen, then you will have to tow the car to a shop for repairs.

There is a trigger device on the wall of the cabin, right next to the emergency brake release. If you have an left-hand drive, it's just to the left of your left ankle against the wall. Pull it aft to release the hood.
