If a 1976 Chevy Blazer with a 454 overheated due to the fan belt snapping now it will not start what could be some possible problems?
If it won't even turn over, then I would suspect your nonstock engine got severely overheated and warped or welded something important. Engine's gotta come out. If it turns over slowly, maybe the battery got run down because the alternator wasn't turning and therefore not charging.

vortech Chevrolet's had a lot of problems with the intake leaking internally and externally. And no stop leak of any kind wont help. You cannot fix mechanical problems with any thing that comes in a bottle. The 4.3 and 5.7 are well known for intake manifold leaks. mite not be your problem but very possible. vortech Chevrolet's had a lot of problems with the intake leaking internally and externally. Answer The Transmission, in my 1992 S-10 Blazer Four-wheel drive, with the 4.3 V-6, came out of a 1996 S-10 Blazer w/FWD. I had no problems with the installation, other than having to jack the body up, to get the Engine and Transmission out. it will fit. but the computers have two different style processors so after you put it in you will find that it doesnt work
The brakes on your 1999 Chevy blazer s10 4x4 stays on when you release the pedal how do you correct the problem?
Why would the temperature gauge indicate an overheated condition when the engine is not hot. It could be the gauge in the instrument panel. Unlikey however. More likely it is a bad coolant temperature sensor or the wiring from the sensor back to the instrument panel. Inspect the wiring and replace the coolant sensor. The sensor is not too expensive.
You have to adjust the tie rods ends between the steering arm and the power steering gear, just make sure your wheels are set straight ahead, and that you don't have any alignment problems. If you don't want to do this on your own take the Blazer to your nearest alignment center and have them center your steering wheel.
