It depends-if the guy knows you like him, then he feels like it's an inside joke between him and you, which, yes, is a sign that he may be interested in you.
However, if he has no idea you like him, then he could either
- think your friend knows you like him and is trying to subtly tell him, and he thinks it's funny you like him, or,
- he likes you and therefore likesthe idea of being married to you. He is smiling because he is pleased you like him.
