This could mean one of two things, either he doesn't believe you to be "mother" material in which case, maybe dress more conservatively and tone down your behaviour when around family, or maybe he REALLY likes you and doesnt want his family interfereing, he may want you all to himself. Well, either he is rude, and has no manners or he was down playing to his mom who you were to him. Did you introduce yourself to her? I think he didnt want his mom to know he had feelings for you.
