Being a friend of the opposite sex can cause problems. Most of the time the men and women feel just like friends, and since friendship is also part of love as well as sex, it can often get confusing. There are two factors here. Either you both are just good friends, but he feels if you date or talk about other men, seeing one of these men will interfere with your friendship (and he's right.) He doesn't want to lose you as his friend. Secondly, he could very well love you. If you have the same feelings for him or think you could feel love towards him, then why don't you talk to him and ask him right out to go on a "real date" with you. Take it slow and easy and see where it goes from there. If you aren't interested in him in a romantic way, then you have to communicate your feelings towards him and let him know that he can't keep interfering in your love life. Please stop talking to him about other men. Why do it if you know it upsets him? I think you are playing a little head game with your friend and I think you like the attention it gets you. Just like you he has feelings, so don't keep talking about these other men or you may well lose him forever as a good friend.
