If a person doesnt eat there is no point in taking vitamins. Vitamins are catalists that cause chemical reactions that your body needs to take place. If you don't eat then the materials needed for the chemical reactions isn't there. and body wil start to crumble. If vitamins was all that was needed there would be nowhere near as much trouble getting to people during a famine.
