For monopoly if your in jail do people have to pay if you land on there property?

Yes, players in jail can still collect rent from others if they land on their property. The player in jail cannot collect rent while in jail, but the owner of the property can still demand rent from the other players who land on it.

How long can you mortgage property in monopoly?

when its your turn you can mortgage a property so long as you own the property and it has no houses or hotels on it. to mortgage it you just flip the card over and take from the bank however much it says the mortgage is worth (this is always half the value of the street). people who land on your street when it is mortgaged do not have to pay the rent. you can unmortgage your street when it is your turn again and if you sell or trade the street to another player when it is mortgaged then that player must adopt the mortgage and pay it themselves.

Can you sue a property manager if he does not collect rent?

Generally there is no point in suing a property manager for not collecting rent. It should be noted that the tenant is responsible for paying his rent on time. It is not the responsibility for the landlord to collect the rent. If the landlord does not collect rent and the tenant should send it to the landlord by mail or in person.

What is assignment of rent?

Assignment of rent is a legal agreement in which a property owner transfers the right to collect rent from tenants to another party, often a lender as security for a loan. This means that if the property owner defaults on the loan, the lender can step in and collect rent directly from tenants to recoup their investment.

Do you have to pay rent when you land on a property when the owner of the property is in jail in baconopoly?

Following the standard rules of monopoly, a player may still collect rent as usual while in jail. They may not, however, collect their passing-go money, if going to jail would take them past it.

Do you have to pay rent to a landlord who's property is in default?

Yes, you have to pay rent to a landlord whose property is in default. As long as the landlord still has control over the property he can still collect rent from you and evict you if it's not paid. A foreclosure of a home is a matter between the owner of the home and his lender, not the tenant.

Can a landlord continue to collect rent if title to the property has been transferred to a trustee?

I wouldn't think so, since the landlord transferred the land to a trustee the "landlord" couldn't have that title anymore, the trustee would so the trustee would collect the rent instead of the "old" landlord On the other hand you should ask if the "landlord" has been appointed the agent and property manager for the property owner. That appointment must be in writing and recorded in the land records. In that case they certainly may collect the rent.

Can a landlord collect rent on bankrupt home when he has not been making payments to bank?

That would be a matter that's between the landlord and the lender or bankruptcy trustee, not the tenant. As long as the landlord has control of the property he still has the right to collect rent and evict you if the rent isn't paid. If the property is taken over by a new entity, that entity becomes your landlord and they will give you further instructions.

How much does a real estate agent make for leasing your property?

It is all negotiable. If they clear the credit report, collect the rent, etc.--in many areas the fee is one month's rent and a small percentage of the monthly rent after that. This all depends on what exactly the agent is providing you in terms of property management services.

Can an ex-spouse stop you collecting rent on a property you bought in his or her name?

Absent a written agreement or strong evidence to the contrary, the right to lease, manage and collect rent on property follows ownership. If the property is tied up in a divorce, then the divorce court will make a ruling if the matter is brought to its attention.
