Possibly. If the contacts on the relay are welded together then yes. You first need to see if voltage is constant to the coil of the relay thus causing the points to be magnetically held together.
The blinker switch is located inside the steering column housing and is attached to the turn signal lever you move to activate the turn signals. If you are talking about the Flasher Relay, that causes the lights to go on and off, it is located, front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted above fuse block. There is also a separate relay for the hazard lights. It is located, front seating area, driver side, under dash, above kick panel, mounted in bottom of convenience panel
DIMMER SWITCH FAILURE.
check the brakelight switch. it is located under the dash where the brake pedal rests. Hey its ritchie. If you can click your blinker down and then they work its you blinker switch, but this is my monte.
It doesn't have a relay but a flasher under the dash.
On most cars theres a switch to turn them on and off automatically after your steering wheel becomes stright aging after using the blinker that could be broke or you have a short some where in your dash
Although it appeard to be a bad headlight / dimmer / blinker switch as they would work most of the time and you could hear the relay clicking it was the relay that was defective. It is in a block of relays hidden behind the steering column and below the dash.
You have to undo a few bolts under the front scoop to access these, and they are a real pain in the butt. I had cracks in my blinkers lights so when it rained it would blow them out, so I replaced them with LED, not as bright but don't have to worry about them ever blowing out again, only problem was it then wouldn't blink because there was not enough current draw from the LED to make the thermal switch in the blinker relay activate, so, i spent $10 on an electronic relay from kragens that plugged into the same spot as my blinker relay, it works great --- to find where your blinker relay is simply turn on your blinker and go under your dash and find the one making the click click noise
The blinker relay is under the dash just left of the steering column. You will have to be on your back to look up under the dash. Its held on by a single bolt to a bracket on the dash frame. It has a 3 wire plug connected to it.
Turn signal switch is melting...replace the turn signal switch in the steering column.
The turn signal Flasher Relay is located in the front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted driver side of steering column.
Check to see if the dash lights dim or if the tail lights come on when the light switch is turned on. If these other lights work then check for a headlight relay. Most likely causes are either the switch or the relay.
mounted under center of dash
