The four cylinder Fiero engine has a bad problem with cracking the cylinder head. If the gasket is bad it is likely the head will need an expensive repair.
If the car has the V6 engine it is possible to just replace the gasket
The real question is how good was the engine before the gasket failed?
Should it be rebuilt or was it not burning oil and in good condition before the failure. Did the gasket failure cause any damage to the engine?
You can change a head gasket if that is all that is wrong.
A rebuilt motor if done right is just as good as a new motor.
buying a used motor is almost the same thing as buying a used car, and fixing it can be pretty expensive too.
If the only thing wrong with the engine is the cylinder heads, yes you should replace just them, Getting a rebuilt motor is expensive and not needed unless the motor has been damaged beyond repair.
Neither. Have a new head gasket installed. That is assuming you did not completely ruin the engine by continuing to drive it after the head gasket blew. If you did indeed ruin this engine, then the decision should be based on what the car is worth in the first place.
you will need to rebuild the whole motor. better off getting a used motor at a junkyard and replacing it like I did on my sentra.
yes
Yes it is. I know this by experience. Timing jumped and bent the valves
Replace wiper motor with a new one. Do not install a rebuilt motor on this vehicle.
No
no gasket is used
