Bare in mind that the Depo stops your menstrual cycle for several months - you may experience irregular bleeding while on the Depo. Once you come off Depo it takes time for your hormones to regulate again to have a normal menstrual cycle, during this time menstruation can be heavier than normal due to hormonal imbalance.
There are no known drug interactions between Premarin and Depo Provera. Sometimes estrogen is used temporarily to control the irregular bleeding from Depo Provera.
Irregular and prolonged bleeding is a possible side effect of depo provera, as noted in the patient information insert. This bleeding improves with time.
There is no special risk of pregnancy on Depo Provera just because you're bleeding. If you get the shots on time, you are protected equally when you're bleeding and when you're not.
Irregular bleeding on Depo Provera is very common. Some women with chlamydia will bleed irregularly. If you are at risk for chlamydia, you should get tested regardless of what birth control method or bleeding pattern you're having.

The depo has shown no interactions with antibiotics. No menstruation is a common side effect. Read more in the link below.
First, you should determine what effect method of birth control you want to start if you want to avoid pregnancy. Starting hormonal birth control may control bleeding. If you want to get pregnant, your best bet is to keep in mind that irregular bleeding will go away without treatment. Talk with your health care provider about options if the bleeding is troublesome.
No it doesn't necessarily mean you are pregnant, especially as the depo shot is a contraceptive, it would be highly unlikely. However, if you are worried, for your own reassurane, take a pregnancy test or acquire some advise from your GP. If you've not had sex or it is unlikely for you to be pregnant at all, then blood spotting is completely normal on the depo shot, and should stop in it's own time.
DEPO side effects will clear up within 2-3 months while pregnancy symptoms will continue. If you suspect you may be pregnant you need to have a blood test. Both cause an absence of menstruation, most women will have no menses the entire time they are on Depo (after the first few months of spotting/irregular bleeding). With pregnancy you will have nausea and breast tenderness, which are not usually present while on Depo.
I hate bleeding for 6 weeks on my first shot but my second one only had light spotting to none, it varies. Periods while on the depo provera, (whether u have them or not) has nothing to do with you being pregnant.
