It is advisable to leave a gap of atleast one day between working out the same body part. Even though you do not feel sore, your muscle would be recovering from the workout you did yesterday. So it is better to workout a different body part today and work out tomorrow for the body part you worked out yesterday.

Definitely rest. Give yourself two or three days to rest.

In the meantime, eat a small quantity of lean protein and a larger quantity of low-glycemic index carbohydrates.

The amino acids you will derive from the lean protein will aid in rebuilding the damaged muscle, but the healthy carbs will flood your muscles with glycogen, which is the best way to repair sore muscles.

Brown rice, sweet potatoes, whole grain bread (do not eat wheat bread), steel cut oats are good examples of low glycemic index carbohydrates that will aid and speed up your muscle recovery.

Remember, exercise is catabolic, which means it cause your muscles to break down and become smaller.

Rest and proper balanced nutrition is anabolic, which means it supports muscle growth.

Combine the two and you are on your way to a great physique and superior health.

Sore muscles are a sign you are over doing it. You should take it easy if you are just starting out, if not let your muscles gradually work out to getting what it is you wish to reach.

When you train each bodypart to the max each week should you be sore all the way up to the next time you train that bodypart or just for the next day or so and then still rest that part for the week?

when you lift heavy you will be sore for a good 3 days after the workout but you should still keep on your routine as that's just part of gaining muscle, if your not sore your not gaining. a2 it should only be sore a few days but don't work out again until a few days after the work out because your muscles need rest to grow if you work out everyday you over work the muscles.

What do you do for sore arm?

Continuing to work those sore muscles is what you shouldn't do. By continuing to workout, you put too much pressure on the muscles and instead of being strengthen, you tire them and they will rip therefore you'll have to see a doctor and you can't exercise for 1-2 months. And when your muscles are sore, give them days of rest until they aren't sore anymore, eating food will determine the energy for the sore muscles, and stretch them to make the pain go away.

Is is bad for you to work out if your muscles are sore?

To work out sore musecls you set down or lay down, and rotate the arm or leg slowly and not very harsh. You do that for a minute or two the switch and go backwards instead of forward. Do this to your legs and arms whenever they are sore and they will feel better, then lay down and watcha a movie! No, you should not workout with sore muscles. If you work out with sore muscles instead of the muscle strengthening the muscle gets worn down and eventually, without rest, will rip and become worthless for one to two months, depending on how long it takes you to heal. You should devise your workout routine to work arm muscles one day and leg muscles the next, or whatever other thing you want to workout. Just make sure to give the muscles that you just worked out a day of rest and you should be fine.

What exercise can a twelve year old girl do to build stronger muscles but not get sore?

If you not sore after a workout, your not going to gain muscle. When you lift, what you are doing is making tiny rips in your muscle, your body recovers by building new muscle to avoid it again. So if your muscles arent sore, your not going to gain any muscle.
