Tetanus.
Hepatitis I would recommend if the nail was bloody before you stepped on it.
If you have not had a Booster shot in seven years , or can't remember , better safe than sorry . Tetanus' other name is lockjaw , and is exceedingly unpleasant. Don't put it off, please.
The local tenderness and sometimes redness, swelling, and hardness in the area where a flu vaccine has been given is the most common side effect of the injection. It is the local muscle tissue noticing and reacting to the "foreign invaders" in the vaccine (the virus particles in the vaccine). Although the invaders can't make you sick, they trick your body into thinking they can, so your body goes to work trying to increase circulation to the area and sending the immune system cells that fight viruses to the area. That response can make your arm sore. It can last for 2 to 3 days, and sometimes it is even worse the second day. Don't try to avoid moving the arm, using it will help it get better faster, so work through the discomfort and use it normally as much as you can. You may find it helps to put a moist warm compress (washcloth or something similar) on the area that hurts for 20 minutes and see if it makes it feel better.
It doesn't hurt much at the time but it can leave the muscle very sore for a few days after, so it is better to take it in the buttock because it is easier to cope with a sore bottom than a sore arm.
A tetanus vaccine injection can cause swelling of the arm. If it doesn't get better in a day, talk to the doctor.
Tetanus shots are good for 10 years. You only need another one if it has been longer than 10 years since your last one. However, it is better to be safe than sorry, so getting a booster shot is a good idea. I do not think there is a specified time lapse between getting a wound and a shot. The sooner the better. If the wound is deep and dirty, wash it thoroughly and use copious amounts of disinfectant, such as hydrogen peroxide.
Tetanus can be treated once symptoms appear, but it may become a medical emergency. It is better to have a vaccination before beginning any work that could increase the risk of tetanus. Tetanus vaccinations provide years, even a lifetime of immunity.
Lloyd booster pack is better than Jay ZX and Kendo Cole
Lockjaw is the common name for a bacterial disease called tetanus. Just search for tetanus or lockjaw. To answer the actual question it is usually caused by deep cuts or wounds, particularly those caused by stepping on a rusty nail that has been sitting outside and has accumulated the tetanus bacteria on it. The bacteria is more likely to gather when there is a presence of human or animal fecal matter (manure). However, tetanus is likely to be in nearly any low-oxygen environment. Any open wound has the risk for introducing tetanus into the body. On occasion, it can come from piercings and tattoos done in unsanitary conditions. So it is important to get a tetanus booster shot every 5 years or so. If you do step on a rusty nail or otherwise have a puncturing wound, you should try to let it bleed a bit, clean and disinfect the wound as well as you can, and see a doctor if your tetanus shot is not up to date or the wound is very deep. A tetanus booster might not fully prevent tetanus, particularly if it is has been at least 5 years, and there is a chance that getting a booster even immediately after possible exposure won't fully prevent it. However, even then, it is still better to have a partial immunity or have a booster after the exposure than it is to have none at all. The difference could be some discomfort and jerking for a few weeks as opposed to being in intensive care or on life support.Differentiation from other conditionsYour jaws can lock due to having too much iron in your body or when you faint and you grip your teeth together when you fall and this causes your jaw to lock -- this is not a painful problem. While some could call this "lock jaw" as it has some of the same symptoms, is not lockjaw. A stroke or injury to the jaw can cause the jaws to lock, and so can TMJ (a disorder of the joints of the jaw).
Neither, but if you need or want one than the hair booster is better, and healthier.
Lockjaw
Yes. Hepatitis A is food born (you catch it from things you eat) and usually gets better on its own.
I like Crest Whitestrips Seals better
