1st You are never ever safe stopped on the Freeway. IT IS DANGEROUS! If you get stopped in a traffic jam the normal rules apply, stay back at least far enough to see the bottom of the tires on the rear of the car in front.
If you are completely stopped, the person behind you will be at fault for BOTH cars since they didn't allow themselves enough time and space to stop safely.
The "FRONT" arrow indicates the recommended rolling direction for the front wheel and respectively the "REAR" arrow is the direction for the rear wheel.
If you hear the ro! ro! ro! ro! sound in front of the arrow thing the arrow thing will eat you!
Front tires should be pointed toward traffic. That way, if the parking brake became disengaged, the car would not roll downhill into traffic, but would instead be stopped by the tires running into the curb.

If you look closely at the filter there should be an arrow and on most the word flow next to the arrow. The arrow should point to the engine and away from the gas tank. the arrow should point to the front.
