Possibly, or you need to switch some of the other non-essential accessories off, or there is a fault with the AC so that it demands too much current.

You possibly have a loose alternator belt or the alternator is weak. Check the voltage at the battery with the engine running. It should be 13.5 ? 16 volts. Any less and the alternator is weak and needs replacing. Also make sure the connections at the battery are clean and tight.

Either put a gauge on the battery to see if it is charging, or while running, disconnet the positive cable from the battery. If the car dies that means the alternator is not charging.
