I am not sure about the 2000 model Camaro's but I would suggest you check the flasher under the dash normally when its operating you will hear a clicking sound coming from it. On most models you can find this flasher under the dash on or near the fuse panel. , EzForJesus
if the fan motor is still good, find a mechanic that knows how to bypass the thermostat and run it to a switch on the dash, thats the cheapest option, and would take far too long to explain on here . Just had the same problem with my 99 camaro and it was an 8$ relay that is in the fuse box under the hood
check the distributor cap. if it has a micro crack it will expand when the engine heats up then after cooling down retract allowing the car to run. had this problem on my 1970 camaro

You need to check your fuses and get a schematic for the power and grounds.

The cooling fan is activated by a sensor, and possibly a relay. Most likely the sensor has gone bad.
