Do you mean intake manifold OR exhaust manifold. Need to know NEUTZ.
A bad exhaust manifold gasket could do that.
correct answer is: the crack will allow air to enter the manifold and this air will make the oxygen sensor say engine is lean. then the ECU WILL force very rich fuel injections. very bad. fix all exhaust leaks on EMS engine pronto. BAD gas mileage too ! very bad. yes this condition will destroy the CAT,but the cat is a victim only. Check the catalytic converter ! Maybe stopped up & pressuring out exhaust manafold crack !
Bad echaust manifold or header gasket. Or loose header or manifold gasket.. if its just a loose bolt the gasket will eventually crack or break from pressure.the popping sound is high pressure leaking past the gasket Bad echaust manifold or header gasket. The manifold if the metal tube that directs the gas from the gas valve to (2-10) orifices so each orifice receives the same amount of pressure. This manifold is factory made and should never be changed.
The way to make a gas burner for a pig cooker is by making a pipe burner and building a manifold and run a gas mixer for each pipe. Also, use three cast burners.
manifold?
That would certainly be one of many likely results. The manifold basically carries the exhuast gas and the exhaust noise from the engine itself to the system that "muffles" it. Any cracks let all these things escape.
3.5
well if it cranks and runs the coils are ok the 02 sensor will make it run ruff and use more gas
A manifold does that.
Knuckles "crack" because gas builds up in the joint and is released when you apply pressure to it. So really cracking is not a correct term. Release of gas is.
