Because, technically it is a terrorist threat, and if they ignored the "minor" threats, they might miss a major one in disguise. Sort of like if you say that you are going to blow up a building every day, no one will believe you, and then someday you do actually blow up a building. It's just safety. What I'm mad about is why people throw a fit whenever we swear in public (freedom of speech?), but they can tell you to believe in a religion o something, then get PO'd when you don't. Sorry, off topic. But anyways. Yeah, there ya go, and I hope it helped.
There were (and continue to be) multiple practical effects of the writing of the Constitution. The most important of these practical effects was that the Constitution allowed the new country...

Clarification- "to be a citzen of the same country he is president". It is important in the United States because it is part of the constitution and an agreed upon formality among all of our founding fathers. They thought that way because they wanted a person that understood and believed in the values and freedom one has growing up in this country.
A person who writes to the President to stop the war in Iraq is exercising his freedom of speech. Core political freedom of speech is the most important of the freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution.

The first amendment of the constitution does guarantee the freedom of religion.
It should first be noted that the words "human rights" are not in the constitution itself. But the rights Americans have certainly are elaborated in a number of the amendments. Most important is the First Amendment to the constitution, written by James Madison, who became the fourth president of the United States. This amendment guarantees freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, etc. Voting rights were granted to black males in the fifteenth amendment, and to women in the nineteenth amendment.
Freedom of housing is not a part of the United States Constitution.
