Always ask doctors exactly what do they mean, so you won't go home worrying about it. But I also had the doctor tell me once that I wasn't as far as I thought, & it was nothing I just got the date of my last period messed up.
my doctor now uses an ultrasound to confirm pregnancy at the first visit instead of just a pregnancy test or bloodwork.
When you go to the doctor and have an ultrasound ask the doctor if you want to know.
The only way to be certain is by having a blood test hun. It is possible for the embryo to not show up in a ultrasound until you are 6-7 weeks into your pregnancy but because of your pregnancy symptoms vanishing, I would be concerned and suspect a miscarriage. See your doctor for a blood test.
yes not until an ultrasound is done
Only a doctor can diagnose this with an ultrasound. The body will think you are pregnant but the ultrasound will show up an empty sac or nothing.
Don't guess, go see the doctor and have a ultrasound.
Majority of the time but a ultrasound is very accurately
I presume you are asking about dates in pregnancy. Nothing is absolutely certain about pregnancy dates, as I hope you doctor explained.
No it is not. If you are worried speak to the staff and your doctor who told you to have one.
Wait a week and see if you get your period. If not, test again. If that one is negative and you still don't have your period, see a doctor for blood testing and an ultrasound. The only true way to see is an ultrasound!
Hello. I can understand how worrying this must be for you when the doctor doesn't see the foetus on a 5 week scan. But please dont be worried as this is perfectly normal. A fetus usually shows up on a ultrasound when your in your 6th week of pregnancy and sometimes the foetus doesn't become clear till your in your 7th week of pregnancy. I hope this has helped you some. Congratulations on your pregnancy.
it would be expected as hormones are still there.. check with your doctor if worried.
If you have a test that shows a positive pregnancy result then YES you ARE pregnant. Forget the negatives. A positive is a positive. A ultrasound can not detect a baby till you are 6 plus weeks into your pregnancy. Actually you can see an embryo earlier than 6 weeks. You should go back to the doctor and get another ultrasound. This could be a molar pregnancy. See a doctor, they will be able to give you a blood test and tell for sure.
The most common reason for ultrasound in early pregnancy is to determine how far along you are and figure out a due date. Later pregnancy ultrasounds are usually just routine to make sure everything is normal as the baby grows. Most commonly, a doctor will do a 20 week ultrasound where they will do all of their measurements and make sure everything is developing normally, and tell you the gender if you would like to know. After the 20 week ultrasound, unless you are having complications, it is unlikely that you will get another ultrasound until towards the end if the pregnancy.
If you start bleeding during early pregnancy, it is really important to go to your doctor or a local ER to have an ultrasound and a blood test.
Yes, it is very safe to have a ultrasound. Your known how your pregnancy is progressing via the ultrasound and you can also see your little one. Good luck but go for this ultrasound asap because pains need to be investigated.
The doctor can estimate about how many weeks along the pregnancy is through methods such as ultrasound, but he cannot say with 100% certainty what the exact date was.
You're probably about to die. Make a will and say your prayers.
See another doctor if you are worried! It is your right to seek a second opinion! An ultrasound might help too.
I would consult your doctor about it.
Yes, it is. You should not be worried just visit your doctor.
As long as you are very early in pregnancy, a doctor can usually tell you from looking at an ultrasound. There is very little variability in size very early on. It is later in pregnancy when individual differences arise.
When you go to the doctor they will give you a vaginal ultrasound where you can see the baby and they measure it and based on that they can tell you how far along you are.
it all depends on your doctor and what insurance you have. it can range anywhere from an insurance copay of $10 or $20 to a couple hundred dollars
Go for an ultrasound and talk to your doctor.
