Even if your parents are willing to allow emancipation, the court still has to approve it. They would require that you be able to fully support yourself, so depending on your boyfriend to provide (even partial) support would not meet that requirement. With that said, if there is abuse, then report it!

Can you move out at 17 if you have a job without paent consent in CA?

Actually, you can move out at age 17 in California without parental consent IF you have been legally emancipated. To get a declaration of emancipation from a judge, you have to prove 1) you are at least 14 years old, 2) you can handle your own money, 3) you have a legal way to make money, 4) you don't want to live with your parents, and 5) emancipation would be good for you. If you are emancipated, you can live where you wish but you give up the right to be supported by your parents. You will need to file a petition for emancipation with the court and get an order of emancipation from a judge who may want to hold a hearing first to hear from your parents.

Can you legally leave your parents' house if you're 16?

If your state has an emancipation law, if so you either have to prove that you have a job & can support yourself, or be able to prove that you are staying with someone that will support you if you can i know in Texas you will gain emancipation, and if you are supporting yourself you will gain a permit to buy cars, rent apartments, & have credit cards. (But if you are being supported by another adult you will not gain this permit.) This is an example of Texas though, It varies by state.

Why did members of President Lincolns cabinet urge him to wait for before announcing the emancipation of Southern slaves with the understanding of what it would do and could not do?

Up President Lincoln and his first version of an emancipation proclamation began in June of 1862. When he presented his ideas on the proclamation to his cabinet, he received varied opinions. Montgomery Blair believed that an emancipation, who came from a family of slave owners, objected on the grounds it that it might influence the border states to join the Confederacy.Attorney General Bates was also a border state politician and agreed with Lincoln as long as the emancipation made White privilege was maintained, and compulsory resettlement of Blacks outside of US borders was made clear.Secretary of War, Stanton supported the emancipation, even though he was a Democrat and shared his party's distaste for abolition and racial equality.Secretary of the Navy, Welles favored the emancipation on the grounds that if the North did not make use of the slaves, the South would.Secretary of State Seward favored the emancipation but urged a delay in order to have a broader view of its implications.Treasury Secretary Salmon Chase was a radical Republican, yet he questioned the president's constitutional authority to make such a proclamation and he feared that race riots and revolts would cause chaos and danger to the nation.
