First i know you wanted an awnser but i don't no that, but i just thought i would warn you. if you only eat one fruit/veg then that could be dangerous and you could end up in hospital i think if your trying to llosse weight the best bet is to still eat three meals a day, but add vegtables in the meals, and try and eat at leat 5 portions of fruit and veg also doing activites outside like football, Rugby, rounders ect that could also help.
Just want to say at 5.5 and 142 pounds you are still within the healthy BMI - just make sure that you eat at least 1500 cal a day and the secret to losing is burning more than you eat - ...
Just do it slowly..

Ok i have another answer because I'm pretty sure you will have heard alot of that 'just eat three balanced meals...' bla bla stuff already. The truth is though that if you starve yourself like that your body will go into starvation mode so when you do eat something your body will take all the fat in that it can just to stop you from dying! And of course then you'll just gain weight and feel terrible and un-energetic.
If you have a problem with your eating you should go to a dietician. They can be really helpful and then you won't have to worry about your weight. :)
There are a lot of things that you can start drinking to help you getting started at losing weight. You could drink vegetable juice, fruit smoothies, fruit juice, black coffee, green tea, soy milk, and lost of other drinks.
Part of the rotting process is dehydration, losing moisture. As the fruit rot's, moisture is also lost which is weight.
A pair is a fruit, not a vegetable
If you do not have the money to buy fruit, or if you are somehow intolerant to the sugars in fruits, you can still lose weight if that's your goal. Try to include at least one green vegetable in your diet per day, and for the most part, just limit your intake of starches and processed foods. Portion control and water intake constitutes a lot towards losing weight.
