That depends on many factors. Which spouse works? Which one has sole/primary custody of the child? Which one is the primary financial contributor to the household? Who purchased the vehicle (or was it given by a family member or friend)? What is the necessity of the vehicle for both parties? What state do you live in? How long have you been married? Was the vehicle a pre-marriage purchase by one party, or was it bought by both after being married? There really is no single answer to that question. It's a matter of the court's discretion and is based on many different factors.
If it is in the man's name, then the man is legally obliged to pay it.

Yes! As long as you are of legal age (In the state you are a legal resident of) you can buy a vehicle. You cannot legally register the vehicle in your name or legally drive the vehicle. You can even insure the vehicle with many insurance carriers; just not for driving purposes (i.e. as a "collector" vehicle for loss or damage in storage).
WE'RE ON OUR WAY!!!!!
Not legally.
Legally, NO

I'm not sure what you mean by covered. She needs to be listed as a driver if she drives any of your vehicles. You cannot add her vehicle to your policy if that is what you mean. No one can add a vehicle to their policy if the vehicle is not titled in their name. The only exception is husband and wife situations. Whether or not you are adulterous makes not difference to the insurance company really.
No. Only the true owner can legally register a vehicle. (Legally. Used lightly )
