First, your age is immaterial. You can receive Social Security whether or not you are working. Second if, and when, you may be laid off, you would qualify as any other worker who was laid off, as long as it was through no fault of your own.

Can you collect unemployment if you are part time in Wisconsin?

Answer:Sometimes with a family, people are forced into part time work and are unable to make ends meet. Most states allow you to collect unemployment if working part time, under certain circumstances. Some may have you collect on a former employer if you are still in the benefit year and you had claimed unemployment before your present job. Much depends on the state you work in and their criteria. Contact your state unemployment office for clarification.

If you were laid off and getting unemployment in Wisconsin can you collect unemployment from Wisconsin while searching for a job in another state?

YES, but if you do start a new job, ANYWHERE, you have to notify the state office that you are working and the exact date you started working again and where you are working. If you don't notify them, and continue to accept payment, you are committing a felony fraud. Jim Bunting. Toronto. Canada.

Can you collect disability after working eight years if you are 72 years old and collect Social Security from your deceased spouse?

You collect disability only if you show that you are unable to perform work, not that you worked as long as you have. If you worked eight years and there are justifiable reasons for quitting, as determined by your state's employment security office then you might be eligible for unemployment benefits. This has nothing to do with the Social Security you are presently receiving.
