If you were arrested and booked then you WERE charged. Even if a judge only "cautioned" you it doesn't mean that it "went away." Any arrest will appear on your record, unless it was prior to your 18th birthday.

How long does it take for pending charges to show up on record after filed for state court?

There is no "running" record of the process of your court case. The only records that show up on your criminal record is the record of your arrest and what you were charged with and the record of the ultimate results of your court action.

If you have a no bill on your record is there a need to have it expunged?

That's a question only you can answer. What offense were charged with? How serious was it? Will it affect your future employment or schooling? If nothing else, if you were arrested the arrest will show up.

You should only do it if they consent. Otherwise, you could also get an arrest record in addition to a feel.

How long are you in jail for resisting arrest?

Yes. Usually those that are arrested already have a charge that will be made against them but if you are being detained for questioning by a police officer and you resist, fight, or run, then you can be arrested on the grounds that you resisted arrest. Arrest does just not mean that you have been taken "downtown" but that you have been detained. You can be arrested and not charged for a crime.

How can you get petty theft off your record for employment?

The only way to get a petty theft charge off your record for employment is to have your record expunged. You will need to go to the courthouse in the county you were charged and file the paperwork.

How do one search for arrest records?

Many law enforcement agencies post arrest logs online. Some may only post recent arrests, but some also post arrest records for up to 30 days, and sometimes even longer. These logs usually include information such as name, arrest date and location, charges, and bail information. Sometimes a mugshot is also provided. If the arresting agency does not provide this information online, arrest records can be obtained by contacting the arresting agency. As long as the arrest record is not sealed by a judge, the record is public information.

Your son was charged with a felony at 14 years old will it go away when he turns 18?

If he is only charged with a felony it won't follow him. If he is convicted on a felony it will stay on his record unless he has it expunged.

I received a felony in Wisconsin this week how soon can you try to have it taken off your record and how do you go about it i live in minnesota also what are the consequences of what you can and can?

The only thing that will remove a felony arrest and/or conviction from your record is to have your record expunged. You must submit a petition/motion to the court system in which you were convicted, stating your reason(s) and giving good reason(s) why the record should be expunged. If you were convicted and are currently serving the sentence you cannot do this until after your sentence is completed. Expungement will only remove the record of your arrest and conviction from the the PUBLIC record, only law enforcement will have access to that portion of your ciminal history. Expungement IS NOT A PARDON, you will still be a convicted felon and you will not get your "rights" restored.

If you are arrested and the police don't tell you why what can you do?

Did they actually arrest you or did they only 'detain' you for a few minutes? A temporary detention for legitimate police purposes is NOT an arrest. If they took you into custody you had to be booked at their station. The charges will be set forth in the booking document, which is a public record.
