This is not the right way to go about it. What happens is that your stomach eventually shrinks. Your body will go elsewhere for nutrition, by taking your fat cells and storing them (because it's afraid you are starving yourself & it wants to save it). THEREFORE making it next to impossible to lose that fat in the future. My trick is to eat whenever I want, but I stop as soon as I get full. I don't finish all of my food in one sitting. I have also been prone to malnutrition, so it's important to me to eat regularly. You will get sick and nobody wants to be fed through a tube in the hospital! Eat Healthy and take a jog or walk every day, that's it :-)
Also, if you spread out your meals, it is easier for your body to manage the digestion of the food you eat. You can overload your system by eating heavily, and end up both overweight and diabetic.
Don't ever try to lose weight like that it wont work. You want to lose fat then don't eat fat (only small amounts of good fatty acids). You need 5 to 6 small meals a day high in protein and carbs to keep your body in an anabolic state, which means your body has more fuel(calories)than it needs and if it is fat it stores it.If you use good carbs for fuel and then have "extra" protein your metabolism is fueled and anabolism is taking
place,at which point protein, amino acids, and red blood cells work to grow muscle. Sorry if i got a little off subject, eat protein, take vitamins and stay active, that's how to lose fat or "weight"
As someone who has struggled with weight forever, I have tried everything. Even the 1 meal a day diet. this is basically considered starving yourself, no matter how big the 1 meal is. Starving yourself, taking diet pills etc.. can be risky and as soon as you get back on a healthy path you will gain all of the weight back. Try to walk more each day. Buy a pedometer. This is a small inexpensive device that you clip to your pants (on the inside so nobody sees it if you are embarassed) and it counts how many steps you take a day. If you take 10,000 (sounds like a lot but really isn't too difficult) and maintain a healthy diet... less snacking, smaller meals... you will lose weight. That is really all you need to do.
I have also been an on and off member of weight watchers. i don't necessarily recommend you join because you do not have a lot to lose but some things i learned from weight watchers are essentials for healthy weight loss. three things in particular:
1) Eat smaller portions. Even if you do not get much excercise, cutting down portions will allow you to lose a lot of weight. Instead of eating chips out of the bag, check the serving size on the back and count that amount of chips in a bowl so as not to overeat. Same with meals. No seconds. This will make a world of difference.
2) Weigh yourself once a week in the morning. I choose to weigh myself every Saturday. I wake up at 10am and weigh myself before eating anything. if i lost weight from the week before i allow myself a treat for that day.... an ice cream sundae.... french fries. something yummy. i will take the rest of the week to be healthy and work it off. you need to reward yourself on diets. also, weighing yourself weekly helps you keep track of your weight so you don't lose control.
3) keep active. use the stairs instead of elevators and escalators. even if you go to the mall, keep the walking pace up. just walking a lot will help you lose weight. try the pedometer.
Eating 1 meal a day, big or small, is not good for you at all. Actually, it is proven that eating 4-6 small meals a day is the best way to lose weight. 4 small meals keeps the metabolism going throughout the day, helping you burn more calories. one large meal bombards the system all at once making it difficult to digest and causing fatigue in the morning and/or evening (whenever you are not eating)
Example: Fruit for breakfast (apple, peach, watermelon, fruit salad...) Even a small bowl of cereal (1 cup of cereal and 1% or nonfat milk)
sandwich for lunch (light on the meat, cheese and mayonaise) maybe some carrot sticks or 55 goldfish (one serving is 55 and they are baked so not too fattening) you can also do a salad (no creamy dressings)
small snack before dinner (pudding or jello cup, fruit, granola bar, yogurt) you can even do chips if you stick to serving sizes.
healthy dinner.... with no second helpings! even pasta is okay if you keep it under 2 cups and try to stay away from creamy sauces.
PLEASE do not eat one meal a day. Trust me, you may lose a lot in the beginning, but you will gain it all back and more eventually bc you cannot keep this lifestyle up forever.
If your trying to LOSE WEIGHT you shouldn't sit after you are done eating, you should exercise after your done eating. If you sit after your done eating it is NOT good for your body! You can not lose weight by sitting after eating! Hope this helped<3
Absolutely not. That is the least healthy thing to do.
If you're trying to lose weight you should not be eating McDonalds anyways. It has either 7 or 8 points.
How many calories should you eat per day if you are 5'1 and weight 150 pounds and are trying to lose weight?
All things in moderation. Don't overdo cornbread. It could cause you to gain. Limit your servings of grain products. Eat lots of green, red, yellow vegetables. Limit meats and use only a little dairy. To lose cut your food intake to about half of what you have normally been eating.
When trying to lose weight its probably advised to stay away from eating chocolate early in the day because then your body will crave it. I dieted and lost a stone in 3months, i stuck to eating salads and baked potatoes, salmon is a fat burner along with spinich. Hope this helps :)
Liposuction is very helpful for people who are trying to lose weight especially who are staying away from eating and still they are gaining weight. I would recommended because its has a vary side effects.

That would depend on what your eating disorder is, if it is that you are prone to overeating, it is going to be difficult to lose weight, on the other hand, if you have a eating disorder like anorexia or bulimia, you will lose weight.
no you don't, if that happens you need to get back to your regular eating habits and contact your doctor
Before you start to lose weight you will need to look at the (body mass index). That will help you to see if you will need to lose weight or not. If you do need to lose weight, its best that you talk to your nutritionist and they can help you to decide how many calories you should have each day, what foods you should be eating, and what foods you shouldn't be eating regularly.
You're 14!!! stop trying to lose weight.
If you are eating an appropriate diet, then even a half hour of exercise a day is sufficient for you to lose weight.
bacon and butter
If you are trying to loose weight, you should run/walk on a tredmill for about 30 minutes.
Not eating can cause weight loss, but it is a very unhealthy way to lose weight. Eating healthy foods and smaller portions will have a safer outcome.
If you're trying to lose weight it's usually advised to stop eating after 7pm but that's not just carbohydrates. There no real time of day that makes carbs good or bad.
depends on your weight and metabolism....but are you talking about fasting as in not eating from sunrise to sunset or not eating at all..people can die from not eating for 2 weeks
Yes, and if someone is trying to lose weight or get in shape, he or she should avoid eating these foods. If these foods are eaten, it's likely you'll gain weight instead of losing it, vigorous exercise notwithstanding.
