If your ate exactly the amount of energy your body uses (not including Tae-Bo) then it would take around 7 hours of Tae-bo to lose one pound of fat. However during this time it may be likely you gain 100 grams of muscle, so the scales will never reflect fat loss 100%. The formula is: 1 pound of fat loss requires a calorie deficit of 3500 Calories. 7 hours of tae-bo at approx 500 Kcal per hour equates to 3500 Kcal in energy spent and 1 pound of fat lost, while muscle density increasing. IF your heart rate was above 80% Max heart rate fro this whole hour, then you Kcal use will be higher. If you were active all the time and could hold a conversation the whole time (under 70% Max heart rate the Kcal uses will be a little lower. The good thing however is that tae- Bo will increase flexability and muscle tone.

Examining the question for some aspects of gold and meat: 1. A solid block of one Avoirdupois pound of each substance would not be the same size in area or volume. 2. They would be the same weight if both were weighed in Avoirdupois ounces or pounds. However gold is customarily weighed in Troy ounces/pounds which are slightly heavier than the equivalent Avoirdupois weight. 3. Marx in "Capital" would argue that one pound of gold could equal one pound of meat if the market accepts them as having similar value.
