You would never come out. The Earths core temperature would destroy any implement. Any magma disturbed would fill in any hole, and the Earths gravity would not allow any progress away from the core.
some places get it shipped to them from richer/wetter countries, others have huge water tanks or dig wells. Some still have to walk miles and miles to get their water from the nearest river.
National highway : Vehicles moving all over the nation on highways, and the roads are maintained by the central Govt. State highway :Vehicles moving within their own states and it is maintained by the state government only. There is only two highways i.e.., National highways and State highways. There is no Village highways. . National highways connect various regions of the country whilst state highways connect various regions in a state. It all depends on who has the power to dig the road, whether central, state or village administration.
Think about what rivers represent to humankind. First water is something every human needs to drink, so being near water is good as drinking is very basic to our nature. Next think about rivers representing a method of cleanliness, and while this was not understood until the last century cleanliness is responsible for significant lifespan increase. Rivers are pathways to all that lies along a river and this is very important to commerce and trade that rivers lead larger bodies of water and then to the oceans. But just for agriculture alone the ability to have a source of water for crops cannot be understated. Rains late this year? No problem, we take a shovel (pointy stick?) and dig a trench from the river to where the water is needed. That source of water represented in a river then allowed humans to develop fields that would have rows and rows of crops separated by channels for the water that comes from that river.
Oh, I think this question is very interesting.

DIG DIG DIG all day
it would take you 300 days to dig all the way down to the core
We dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, in our mine the whole day through. We dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, it's what we like to do. It ain't no trick to get rich quick. When you dig, dig, dig, with a shovel or a pick. In a mine. In a mine. In a mine. In a mine. Where a million diamonds shine! We dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, from morning until night. We dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, ... We dig up diamonds by the score! A hundred rubies sometimes more! But we don't know what we dig them for, just dig, dig, dig-a, dig, dig. Heigh-ho! Heigh-ho! Heigh-ho! Heigh-ho! heigh-ho! Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's home from work we go. (Whistled melody) Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, heigh-ho, heigh-ho, heigh-ho. :)
