Oil pressure as measured by the guage on the dash is usually a measure of the pressure put out by the oil pump and not an indication of a leak or low engine oil level. If you have a leak your best indication of that will be puddles on the ground, on the underside of the engine or a milkiness looking color in the oil (as seen on the dipstick) or in the engine coolant.
vacum leak !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Leak in the hydraulic system pressure drop is caused. Pressure drop measured by a manometer. There is oil leaking hydraulic oil, along with signs of connections.
Plugged oil pump screen & sludge build up
in some cases yes you will have an oil leak
a leak or burning it
It developed an leak and then for whatever reason sealed itself. Replace the oil pressure sending unit.
Low oil pressure can be caused by a number of problems, including inaccurate gauge or sending unit; thin oil due to poor oil quality; excessive oil pressure; broken oil pressure relief spring; oil inlet tube restriction or leak; or excessive oil pump or camshaft clearance.
An oil leak problem probably is the sign of a problem in your oil pressure or it could simply be a slow leak. The problem can cost anywhere from $100.00 to $400.00 for an oil pressure problem.
There may be a leak in your pressure valve. Take it to a machanic to be checked out.
yes they do go bad and leak usually when the plug that plugs in to it is removed they leak from the electrical connectors when worn
Common leak points are oil pressure sensor, oil pan, and timing cover gasket.
Yes, and when it does it must be replaced as it is defective.
