The short answer is "probably".

Factors are involved such as

- the temperature of individual heated milk particles, and of the entire contents of the acidophilus milk, in the vessel being heated,

- the amount of time the acidophilus milk is exposed to that temperature, and

- the number of lactic organisms in the initial acidophilus milk, that vary how many organisms would be killed.

Milk pasteurization (of course in proper equipment) is from 145 o F for 45 minutes in a vat, to 161° F for 15 seconds in a plate heat exchanger.

If you are steaming the acidophilus milk it's actually receiving a higher heat treatment (>212° F) at the particle level.

There currently is no state or federal standard for a minimum number of organisms per milliliter for cultured milk. If the milk has a high concentration of organisms, more would survive the heating.

I hope this is useful.

Does acidophilus cures yeast infection?

Yes, but acidophilus is only half the answer to curing a yeast infection. Acidophilus is the "good bacterial" that helps fight the "bad bacterial" otherwise known as yeast. In order to maximize the benefit of acidophilus for curing yeast infections, it's important to also eliminate sugar from the diet. Yeast feeds off of sugar (such as breads, cakes, candy, sugar enriched products) therefore, acidophilus can only fix half the problem of a yeast infection. Cutting out or at least reducing sugar will fix the other half of the problem. Acidophilus does take some time to work, so be patient.

How to get a prescription drug out of the body?

Depends on how the drug is metabolized (broken down) and/or excreted (eliminated) from the body. Some drugs are broken down by the liver, then eliminated in your urine or feces. Some drugs are not broken down at all and may be eliminated in your urine or feces. Therefore you would need to provide which drug(s) you are referring to.
