"As long as you put the key in the off position, the battery will be fine. I have had a few lawn mowers with a key start and have left the key in them with no problems."
This is an inaccuracy - From 2006 on there is a sensor on the igitions which will trickle drain the batteries as it complets a magnetic circuit when the ignition is off.
Most likely because you left your lights on. Every vehicle plays some kind of chime or warning when you open your door to leave your vehicle when you have the keys out of the ignition. This is to prevent you from leaving your vehicle unattended with the lights on, so you don't kill your battery.
No it is no safe to, it will probably kill you battery. It uses 200watts.
my ignition is broke and on the on position how can i bypass the ignition n use a toggle for power and a pushbutton to start run thik power wire from positive of battery to starter. then wire from starter to distributer. then run wire inside or vehicle to push start and ground it or run back out to battery to neg. put toggle switch some where in the process to kill it.
Yes it did kill my battery
if you put jumper cables on the wrong way you WILL kill the battery then if you leave them on you will cause the battery to overheat and swell then will u least expect it, it will blow up.. it will be a miniature hydrogen bomb
you kill it... you kill it... you kill it...
No.
Check kill switch and ignition switch for power.
The KILL switch is in series with the ignition switch. When the KILL switch is open, the bike will not start.
High temperature shortens battery life.Freezing a battery can kill it.
Not it it is a good battery. I suggest if you are going to let it set for an entire winter, disconnect the positive battery cable. It should be fine if it is a good battery that is fully charged. You might want to put a charger on it next spring just before trying to start the engine after you reconnect the positive cable.
have you checked the ignition, just had the same on our Renault van, after starting the vehicle the ignition still stays as if you are trying to crank instead of the key returning, automatically shutting off the need for the alternator resulting in the alternator staying on burning out and drainig battery
