It is inside the fuel tank. 1993-1997 there is an access in the trunk. 1998-2004 you have to remove the tank to access.
The pump is accessible through an access hole in the trunk. Remove the trunk carpet, remove four nuts that hold access plate, remove fuel lines, electrical plug, and large hose clamp that holds pump to tank. Pump will now pull out.

no you must remove the tank from the trunk then remove flange to access inside the hardest part of the repair is the gas lines the manual states to remove drive line for easy access i did not i just did this on 92 vandanplas
