it shouldnt but it will if the alternator is bad or it has worn belts or broken belts on it
To reset computer on dodge caliber. remove the dodge caliber, remove the negative and positive cable from the battery. You can then reset your computer.
remove cable from the transmission and remove the cable from the back of the speedometer up under the dash and then the complete cable can be pulled out.
Remove negative cable from battery Disconnect positive cable from starter and ignition wire Loosen mounting bolts from starter Remove starter Install new starter in reverse order of removal
Red/positive cable to red/positive cable. Black/negative cable to black/negative cable. The battery is under the cover in front of the air cleaner.
Open the rear hatch. Remove the tri-fold floor, remove the lower floor. The battery is down there on your right. Remove the negative cable, then the positive. Remove the strap and/or bolt in connector. Remove battery.Reverse process to re-install.
remove the bad cable and put the good one! ;-)
the Prospector had either a 318 cu id or a 360 cu id engine.
Disconnect the positive (+ / red) cable first. Then disconnect the negative (- / black) cable. Do not let one touch metal when other on battery. Take off brackets holding battery and remove. Replace with new battery, put in brackets... attatch cables, negative first, then positive.
That's a trim package
On my Prospector the fuel filter is located under the hood near the right tire.
there is a positive battery post under the hood of the car that you use for your positive cable hook-up and then connect your negative cable to any metal portion on the engine.
Normally goes to the starter or starter solenoid.
