No, not their bootcamp, but since you're changing jobs, you'd still have to go through their job-training schools.

Yes. Every Marine has to go to boot camp. We don't care if you were a Colonel in the SAS. If you enlist you have to step on the yellow footprints and go through everything we all have to earn the title. Most likely you will also lose rank.

Who has better training the marines or the army?

Marine boot camp - 12 weeks Army boot - 8 weeks Marines are generally known to be more strict and disciplined while the army has greater numbers.......of course it depends on if you ask an army cat or marine. I was both, and the Marines train all the time and are EXTREMELY strict on physical fitness tests, so I would say the USMC does.

What base has the hardest boot camp?

THE MARINE CORPS IS THE TOUGHEST BOOT CAMP OUT THERE AND ONLY THE TOUGHEST SURVIVE. THERE IS NO IF ANDS OR BUTS. Responses to this will vary depending on the service. Typically and traditionally, Paris Island, South Carolina for the USMC is considered one of the toughest. I will say, the Marines are very tough, but the Army is right up there with it, and the Air Force, is becoming way more like the Army and the Marines in that their PT is just as challenging, they learn the EXACT same stuff the others do, tactics, rifle usage, etc. The same amount of stress is put on them, and they carry the same attitudes that you Mighty Marines do. Marines probably have the toughest boot camp with the Army right there with it, followed by the Air Force.

Exactly what years did Doug Gray in the Army?

Toy Caldwell went to Parris Island for boot camp, the day after graduation in 1966. He served in VN, received a Purple Heart, and came home from active duty in 1968. Tommy Caldwell enlisted in the Marines in 1970, and completed boot camp. He received an Honorable Discharge due to medical reasons. George McCorkle served in the US Navy, and returned shortly before Toy did in 1968. When did Doug Gray serve and where was he stationed?

Where do US Marines go for basic training?

Basic Training (or Basic Combat Training) is a term exclusive to the US Army and Air Force - the Marines refer to it as Boot Camp. US Marines attend their Boot Camp either at MCRD Parris Island (in South Carolina) or MCRD San Diego (in California).
