i would plead not guilty on the ticket, schedual a court date. hope the officer doesn't show, and if he does. tell the judge that you "plead for leaniancy" and that you realize your mistake

If this is your first offense - just pay the hefty fine and hope that they do not give you points. It is up to the judge - unless you can pay w/o going to court.

Don't go that fast to begin with! Imagine if you hit someone at that speed.

Check your state's DMV website or driving manual. It will probably have a lay out of when/how points are assessed and when/how your license would be suspended. Typically, accumulation of a certain number of point will lead to a suspension. You may need to get your driving history to determine whether you have other points.

Points systems are not discretionary. The judge has no control over how many points are assessed. If 26 over is a 4 point offense, and you are convicted, the judge has no control over the points. The judge only has discretion over the fines.

If this is a suspending offense in your state, you should probably talk to a lawyer. An attorney (or maybe even you) can work with the prosecution and negotiate a plea to reduce the speed to help avoid points/suspension.

Going to trial is probably not the best option. Speeding tickets are nearly impossible to win at trial, and if you are found guilty, you'll be out of options.

Quite simply you deserve to have your license suspended, and a proper judge will do just that.

The speed you were driving is reckless in the extreme and the only proven method to make you think before you do the same thing again is to provide you an unforgettable reminder.

If this your first ticket, it is unlikely that you will be suspended. Most judges are reluctant to use their biggest hammer for a first offense. If you have multiple infractions then it would be good planning to have a bus ticket in your pocket when you appear in court.

What is the speed on the German autobahn?

Officially there is no general speed limit on the Autobahn, but over the years more and more speed restrictions have been imposed on certain stretches. Depending on the time of day the can be as low as 80kmh (50mph), 100kmh (62.5mph), (120kmh) 75mph. There is how ever a "Richtgeschwindigkeit" (recommended maximum speed) which is 130 kph (81mph). See link below for more information.

What is the speed limit on a highways in Germany?

highways, or autobahn, in Germany have no speed limits Not true. Some sections of the autobahn, I believe 3/4, have what is considered lifted restriction areas. This means limitations on passing, speed, Ect.. Even driving in a no limit zone you are recommended to not exceed 130KPH(81MPH). In certain cases where car crashes happen and fatalities are the result they will deem a driver in excess of the recommended speed at fault. The Transportpolizei will also ticket you if you are not driving within the limitations of certain circumstances like weather and vehicle type. Although they are generally lenient, they will take action if they feel you are endangering your life or the lives of those around you. I have driven extensively throughout Europe and lived in Germany for 3 years. There certainly are speed limits in Germany. I got two speeding tickets to prove it. The autobahn does not have a maximum speed but they do have a minimum speed. I can't remember if the minimum speed is 60 KPH or 100 KPH but every other road, other than the autobahn, has a maximum speed limit.

How much will you pay for a speeding ticket going 81 in a 65mph zone in Ventura County California?

Answer - Cost of going 81mph in CAAs a point of reference, in October 2007, driving 81 on a 60mph zone in San Jose, CA, cost me $213.50 for the ticket alone, or $227.50 + school fees to take traffic school. I asked the clerk if the fee would be different if I had only been going 79mph and the clerk said no.This is for violation of Code/Section: 22349(a) which is "Driving in excess of 65 mph on a divided highway". In California, the law is simply that you may not ever drive over 65 mph on any California highway (unless, presumably, the posted limit is higher). A different code/section applies if you exceed 100 mph, or you are on a non-divided highway. On November 2, 2009 I got a speeding ticket for going 82 in a 65 in ventura county. My ticket was $380, or $437 if I wanted to do traffic school. My ticket was an infraction for exceeding 65.

Va speeding ticket on interstate 95 exit 33 discussion board?

I received a speeding ticket on interstate 95 approx 1/4 mile before exit 33 ....I had a broken fuel gage which was beeping empty. Yes I sped up to fuel. Exit 33...a big fueling station. I was stopped on the ramp "clocked" at 81mph. I have the car presently at the dealership looking to rerpair whatever is necessary. How do I present this as no I am not denying the speed....but.....this is the "circumstance" and throw my self at the understandings and mercy of the court with proper repair bill/analysis of broken fuel gage/ as proof. I also tried explaining this to the officer. He was polite but continued to issue his morning trade. After fueling....coming off ramp 33.....the same sheriff had pulled a hapless motorist to the side near the same spot. I believe this area to be an incredible goldmine for revenue.....is this fair? very sad citizen who does not seek to break the law. Any suggestions as to how to proceed with this speeding ticket without spinning wheels and time into nothingness.

What if the average speed of a formula 1 car?

This depends on whether the car has been set up for a track or for experimental purposes. Monza is currently the fastest F1 track on the calendar. After Parabolica, a long 180 degree turn where most of the downforce is needed, cars speed up to about 355kph, which is about 220mph. In terms of speed on a straight line, I dare not say how fast an F1 car goes because I believe it hasn't been tested with the current F1 V8 engines. I believe there was a team (Honda V10 at the Bonneville Salt Flats?) who tried to beat 400kph, and as I recall didn't succeed. I recently saw an episode of Top Gear, with James May explaining that Bugatti asked the former Sauber F1 team in Switzerland if they could use their wind tunnel to simulate aerodynamics on the Veyron at 400kph, but Sauber had to disappoint Bugatti because their wind tunnel doens't go up to that speed. So, kind of unexplained territory! Top Gear also set the indoor Formula 1 speed record. A 2006 Toyota F1 V10 did 81mph. It couldn't deliver its power to the wheels properly because the indoor surface was far too slippery. I reckon that under ideal circumstances and without major changes to bodywork or engine a 2008 Formula 1 car could go up to 370km/h. I'm not sure how the 2009 cars would perform.
