Most states allow "part time" jobs while on unemployment, so "subbing" would probably qualify, under some restrictions, depending on the state involved.
Yard SupervisionYes, the substitute teacher assumes all the duties of the regular teacher. If yard duty is part of that, then the substitute assumes the responsibility for doing it. It's not really a case of being forced, but a case of assuming whatever duties the teacher you are subbing for has that day.
It's 80 a day. At the junior high and high school level a substitute works 5 out of 7 classes but if you are asked to work more, you are paid 16 dollars extra for each class (so up to 112 for a single day but this is rare). After working 44 days in one semester you can receive a 250 bonus. After 66 days its 350 bonus. Long term subbing is subbing at the same position for 30 or more days and the pay rate is 95 a day. Days 1-29 the sub is paid 80 a day, then at day 30 the sub is retro paid to receive the 95 a day pay (so really on day 30 the sub receives a 450 dollar bonus and from then on receives 95 a day pay). They rarely give long term sub jobs to substitute teachers who are not teacher certified in that particular field or subject.
