EXHAUSTSometimes the exhaust joints come loose from rust, vibration or improper assembly and can rest on the transmission support. To remedy this, on a cool engine, loosen the clamp that connects the head pipe to the catalytic converter, then have someone push up on the catalytic converter while you re-tighten the clamp. Its still a close fit, but should NOT rest on the transmission support bracket.

There is also a U-shaped piece of steel welded onto the exhaust at that point and it should be inserted into a rubber block hanger. The U-shaped piece breaks off and can be re-welded to the exhaust as a temporary measure but will beed to be replaced.

The rumbling could also be U-Joints but you would notice that as a vibration at about 35+ MPH up until about 60.
