If your ATV has been sitting for over a year what do you need to do to prep it for riding again?

Change the oil, drain the gas tank and refill it (unless it was completely full when last parked), check the tire pressure* and make sure the air filter is clean. Make sure the battery cables are properly connected and the terminals are clean. If it will start, start it up and drive it slowly - don't let it idle, drive it - for the first ten minutes to make sure it is completely heated up and to circulate the lubricant in all the bearings. If it will not start, have someone who knows how jump it from a vehicle with the same kind of electrical system. *If the tires were flat, you might want to consider staying close to home until you are sure they're in good condition. Sitting flat with the weight of the machine on them can cause weakening of the sidewalls that could lead to tire failure.

Dude... Are you serious? Been riding without your helmet again? You put it into the same hole you unscrew and check the oil. Check the dipstick and and see if you need to add. if you do, take a small funnel and add it into the same hole. Repeat as neccessary...

I've never heard of having to need a licence. I've been riding almost twenty year and spend the majority of that time bareback and I don't have any kind of licence.
