What is destructive readout memory?

Destructive readout memory must re-write the contents of each memory cell as it is read otherwise the data is lost or corrupt. With Non destructive readout, NDRO, memory is able to be read multiple times between each write cycle.

How do you change a camshaft position sensor on a 2006 dodge stratus?

For a 2.7 litre six cylinder engine, the camshaft position sensor is located in the front or on the right side of the front engine head. Be sure the engine is cool before you start to remove it. It's fairly easy to change, just in an awkward spot to get to. You can see the connector on the front of the head just right under the top radiator hose. The sensor is held in with a 13mm bolt that has a wiring support tab attached to the top. Remove the wire support tab and then remove the bolt. After the bolt is out, just pull the sensor out with you fingers. A new sensor from the dealer will run around $55.00. I installed one from Autozone and it didn't work. It caused another error to show up. The other error cleared when I put the old sensor back in. Best to get the sensor from the dealer and you wont have to deal with more problems. What error code did the car give you. A PO340 is normal for "Intermittent signal from camshaft sensor to PCM". You can check this on your dash odometer readout by turning the ignition key to the ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON, not starting the engine, then your dash tone will sound five times, then the odometer will readout the codes, one code at a time, like "0340" for the camshaft sensor error. After reading the codes, the odometer will say "DONE". Here is a site to help read the codes: http://www.iequus.com/support/obd2_definitions.php

Can a bathroom scale stop working?

Yes, it can. If something is wrong with a spring, measure, the actual scale, the weigh readout, any of these along with many other factors can cause a scale to stop working properly. This could mean that the readout is wrong, or that it produces no readout at all. Like anything, a scale can break, too. You can either go to have it fixed or just go out and get a new one.

What is the cause of ac being mixed to defrost and dash vent plus auto temp control readout is dim?

It sounds like you have two separate problems. Incorrect routing of ventilation is usually caused by bad vacuum motors or loose vacuum lines, but remember that A/C is -supposed to be- routed to the defrost vents when controls are in the Defrost position. The dim temp control readout could be due to a number of causes, but probably isn't related to the other issue you describe.

How do you access 2001 Dakota repair codes?

Turn ignition on then off 3 times (do not start) leaving in the on position at the third turn. Codes should be dispayed in the trip mileage readout and/or the MIL (check engine) light. If the MIL is used you'll need to count the flashes.
