Montana's legal age of majority is 18. The state does however have emancipation status and has given early emancipation rights to those person's who are at least 16 years of age and who qualify under the requirements of the law. (Montana Code Annotated Title 41, Chapter 3-Pt.4 and Chapter 5-Pt.1).
