Well, if you didn't keep a back-up, you are probably totally out of luck.
The only people that would have a back up other than yourself might be the service provider who was hosting the site. They can probably dig up a copy of the site. It may not be the most recent version, but it would be better than starting from scratch.
And there may be a bit of luck with getting some pages in Google. There is often a cached version of the site that you can get then copy down to your hard drive.
