car has relay. It has ignition power on one leg, 12 v always on one leg , and one leg grounds thru ecm. You also have a temp switch on intake that closes circuit

No, there has not been an official recall for the 2005 Chrysler Town and Country concerning cooling fan relay problems. However, such cooling fan problems have been widely reported.
In all probability it is the cooling fan switch. Before you replace it you need to check the fuses. The cooling fan switch is on the intake manifold.

Cooling fan is shot. replace the fan. it should be an easy job on any other car except the impala. unhook the electrical plug. remove the four bolts. and have a very hard time pulling it out at the right angle.

Correct! it's on the passenger side of the motor, just over the altenator. the fan's will hardly ever go bad. if you have cooling problems it's more than likely the pump or sensors.
