Newman was presented an honorary Oscar at the 58th Academy Awards ceremony held on March 24, 1986. The award wasn't for one film, but "in recognition of his many and memorable compelling screen performances and for his personal integrity and dedication to his craft." At the time, Newman had never won a competitive Oscar despite nominations for "Cat On a Hot Tin Roof" (1958), "The Hustler" (1961), "Hud" (1963), "Cool Hand Luke" (1967), "Absence of Malice" (1981) and "The Verdict" (1982). He also was nominated for producing (but not directing) the 1968 Best Picture nominee "Rachel, Rachel." Newman was in Chicago on Oscar night, so director Robert Wise accepted the award in Los Angeles for him. The actor did deliver a thank-you address via satellite, declaring that he hoped his best performances were ahead and not behind him. A year later, Newman won the 1986 Best Actor Oscar for his performance in "The Color of Money," a sequel to "The Hustler." He also received nominations for "Nobody's Fool" (1984) and "Road to Perdition" (2002).

yes acting is hard, if we are talking about the good acting (well yes its hard), but if we are talking about the sloopy acting of course its easy. for acting you have to have a lot of concentration and you have to know a lot of basic things that most of the people that take classes of acting and that they are professional actors do bnot know. some of you people wont know what blocking a scene is, or maybe you guys dont know that you have to mantaing a balance on scene, also you have to know about diction and other stuff to, acting is not all about you learn your lines you do your part good and evreybody gives you a round of applusse. no an actor is much more thatn that. i know cause i am an actor and most of the people that i know that call themselves actor do not know some of thoose basic stuff.
well first he was a good student in school....he was hard working and focused. and one day he was explaining to his white teacher about his dreams of being a lawyer...his teacher remarked a discouraging comment just because of his skin color...so he lost interest in school and dropped out. and he moved to boston. there he committed petty crimes and became a hustler...thats how it all began! hope i answered well! :)
Color isn't a color- it is a word.
