no u cant swap the axles
f150 has 15 inch wheels and different blot pattern
f250 has 16 inch wheels
u could swap entire axle and diff housing but you would then need to change out the hubs at front wheels as well or have different size wheels on front and rear
sure can!
No I have a 95 Jeep Wrangler and a 78 ford F150 and the rims will not swap.
if you have duallies on your f250 than your issue may be the DRW adapters someone or yourself put on.if your not running hub centric DRW spacers such as made by arrowcraft, than this will cause your rim center holes to ware and the rims will hop in the back. if this is the issue, then buy some quality arrowcraft adapters, pull them and run srw again,or swap in a truck f350 pickup rear axle, that is much wider than the f250/srw f350 axle.it's also wider than the f350 cab and chassic axle as well.the advantage of the axle swap is no adapters to fail, and you get wider brake shoes.

The 300 I6 as well as the 351 V8 will bolt up to the transmission with no issues. However, the 300I6 will require the motor mounts to be relocated.
yes. you will have to use most of your f-150 exteral engine parts, such as the intake and motor mounts. My dad and i did a similar swap, 89 mustang 5.0 into a late 80s f-150. I believe he had to change the computer because the firing order is different on a H.O. Over all not that bad of a swap.
Perhaps bad tires or bent rims bad axle shaft? swap front tires for rear to see if problem persists
It does have CV joints but, it is best to just swap out the complete axle assembly than to replace only the CV joint. You will spend much time and almost as much money trying to replace the CV joint than to just purchase a reconditioned axle assembly and swap it.
No. ... You absolutely cannot do this swap due to different transmissions bell housing bolt patterns. The frame stanchions for the 390 engine mounts would have to be swapped in to the '83. The 390 was discontinued in 1976 in the F250's so the 1977 had to have been swapped once before. Be sure the 1977 F250 you have is the correct year if, in fact, you actually do have a 390. Person above is an idot. Swap motor mounts, and swap engine. if you have a c6 trans in the f350 you be just fine.
Year for year and size for size they are a direct swap. In other words, a 5.4 from an F150 is the same as a 5.4 from an Expedition. There are also years that will interchange but I am not certain which ones are direct swaps. The Expedition is based on the F150 platform.
