If possible, lower the water level (this is not always an option for really big pools). Some people recommend using a hair dryer to warm of the section of liner around the lip that needs to be re-inserted. For obvious safety reasons (hair dryers and pools do not really go together), I have used a couple pots of boiling hot water poured over the area to soften up the liner, and then used brute strength to force the lip of the liner back into the groove. The lower the water level, the easier this is (because you're pulling against less weight). If the liner keeps popping out, you can wedge in a popsicle stick (or something of equivalent width) over the top of the re-inserted portion. Pool stores also sell liner "locks" that look a little more professional and are likely to wear better.

Try using very hot water on the liner.

How to get your liner back in the track?

You used to find alot of pennies holding a liner in the track, it worked. Your pool pro sells a product called liner lock, which is a small plastic insert to tighten up the problem, it usually works.

It would pay you to hire a pool company. They have all the right tools and knowledge. We tried many years ago and it is almost impossible to accomplish. After many hours/days/friends, we finally called in the experts. Good Luck!

If your pool liner is still in good condition but have a faded tile border, buy BorderLines adhesive tile borders. BorderLines offers several nice tile patterns that just peel and stick to any smooth surface and can be done in a short afternoon by one person. I did it to mine and got a few extra years out of my pool liner before it needed replaced, Wow does my pool look new again, check it out at www.poolsandwaterfalls.com Good Luck

Either your liner is floating because of water is behind it, which will evaporate away as long as it is a minimal amount. If you do not have liner lock in the coping it will pull out from the wall by breaking the seal. Pull the liner back to the coping insertion to lock it back into the coping and install the liner lock ( T-shaped poly bead that slips into coping beadlock) Cheap Cure!! Or, unfortunatly, your liner is giving way and it is taking on water.

There are three different systems for above ground pool liners. There are beaded liners which click in to a top rail, there are overlap liners which overlap the frame then something clips over the wall and liner to hold it in place, and there are unibead liners which work on either system. Please check your original users manual that came with your pool. If you have lost it or moved into a house that already had the pool, you can find the information online. Definitely do your research before you buy, because you can find the information to buy the correct liner the first time.

Can you fix a brand new J Bead chanel liner that has slipped off the pool wall without draining the pool if the liner is 18 x 30 x 54?

no, you need to drain the pool to get enough liner to pull over the top. You can try to glue a new piece to where it has pulled away but the weight of the water will most likely pull it apart and if not you will have a sag there sooner or later. When installing a new liner NEVER! trim the excess away without leaving 12 to 18 inches extra, water is heavy and the ground under the pool is sure to settle some. Some areas will stretch a lot and you will need to let it out and others will sag and you will need to take it up so plan for it. Most liners will have wrinkles in the bottom and that is where you will need to get your extra from, if not then a new liner may be necessary.

We recently drained our pool for a day to clean it because of algae and when we started refilling it pulled away from the side of the pool. How do you stretch a pool liner?

Boil tons of hot water and pour it on the liner. If you are someplace where it is still sunny, wait until the hottest part of the day. the liner will stretch, but you really need to heat it up.

Can ants eat inground vinyl pool liner and create pinholes?

Yes, definitely. I had to replace the pool liner due to a freeze-induced blowout (in an above-ground pool). When I replaced the liner I used the foam pool coving material, rather than just reshape the sand. The next year, we started having little leak after little leak. Finally, I drained the pool halfway down to try and patch some bigger areas, and when I pulled the liner away from the wall, the pool cove material was riddled with ant tracks around every area that was leaking. I don't know if it was termites from some nearby rotten firewood, or just ants making nests there, but they really trashed that liner.

How do you change the brake lights on a 1998 Lexus ES300?

To change brake light bulbs on a 1998 Lexus ES300, open the trunk lid. Locate the plastic rivet on the side of the trunk liner. Turn the rivet while pushing in with a screwdriver. Remove the rivet and the trunk liner can be pulled away to access the bulb. Push in and turn the bulb to remove. Insert the new bulb the same way. Replace the rivet in the trunk liner.

When they say there is going to be 6 inches of snow does that mean there will be 6 inches of snow accumulation on the ground?

This means that 6 inches of snow will fall. Since snow compacts as it sits on the ground, especially when it is deep and fine/dry (as opposed to a heavier wet snow), a 6 inch snowfall could compact to 4 or 5 inches right away.
