Well sometimes the radio is hooked up to the ignition itself. It is just the ignition wire, if it has a disconnecting face plate then you can turn it off by taking the face plate off. If you do not still have the cell phone handset, get and hook it up. then do as above says. I had the same problem, and solved the problem by turning cell phone on and the turning it off again.
