because all gods are actually differnt carnations of one major god. Im writing a paper for my politics of India class... Word for word from my paper
"Hindus believe in one omni-present, all powerful god who has many different carnations, all of which have their own name. In order to demonstrate this think of a man. If that man lives in a house with his son, his wife, and his elderly parent, the man is father, a husband, and son. Once that man leaves the house and goes to work, he may be an employee, a supervisor, and a subordinate. That man, is always the same encompassing man, yet when he needs to take a different role he does."
its kind of like a cross between monotheism and polytheism as best as i understand it.
Monism is the belief and unity of God and creation and is not to be confused with "monotheism" belief in many Gods
They believe that Braham and Atman are one on the same. This reflects the belief that all things in the universe are of the same essence as God.
Monolithic
indian leaders were considered to be gods and they were astablished to be hinduism.
There are two deities in Hinduism who are considered the creator; Prajapati and Brahma.
SIKHISM is commonly considered to be a blend of Islam and Hinduism.
Hinduism is a religion, not a person. Hinduism and Judaism are two completely separate religions with Jews belonging to Judaism.
The monistic view holds that everything in the universe is parts or aspects of one Being. Pantheistic and mystical traditions in many religions profess monism.
Hinduism is not considered a religion to Hindus as much as it is a life style. Hinduism has different types of teachings everywhere. However, I think it is a Monistic religion because the entire universes are actually the Supreme Being who is Bramha-the creator/Vishnu-the preserver/Shiv-the destructor. They are all basically the same. All the gods are based on the the Supreme Being as well.
Yes, we can.. but nowadays.. it is not considered good.. but according to Hinduism ( not modern hinduism), we can marry anyone!!
China's cultural revolution did not effect Hinduism that much. However it did effect Buddhism In major ways. Buddhism Influenced Hinduism. Thus indirectly Hinduism was affected.
