In his fight to end Apartheid, Nelson Mandela had two idols, Dr. Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi. Initially, he incorporated Gandhi's techniques, but they failed to work in South Africa, based on the different culture. Mandela said that Dr. King's triumph over racism and segregation, was inspirational.
